HPE Trade & Match Servers under STAC-N1
Unaudited latency results for overclocked HPE server solution
24 August 2016
HPE recently submitted unaudited STAC-N1 results to the STAC Vault. The unaudited report and configuration disclosure are available to STAC members with an appropriate subscription.
STAC-N1 measures the performance of a host network stack (hardware and software) using a market data style workload. This benchmark was performed on two HPE Trade and Match Server Solutions, consisting of HPE ProLiant XL170r Gen9 Servers in a 2U HPE Apollo r2600 chassis, with one Intel E5-1680v3 processor per server using custom tools to enable over-clocking for high-frequency trading operations, along with Mellanox's VMA kernel-bypass driver and RHEL 7.2.
The report analyzes the latency in detail, along with throughput, CPU, and memory. An additional CSV file contains results for several message sizes beyond the standard size in the report. Along with the detailed configuration disclosure is a complete sosreport for the system.
