Vault report: eXtremeDB for HPC with Pavilion Hyperparallel Flash Array under STAC-M3 (tick analytics)
Second set of STAC-M3 results for the Pavilion Hyperparallel Flash Array.
5 February 2020
Pavilion recently submitted unaudited STAC-M3™ Benchmark results to the STAC Vault for a stack involving McObject’s eXtremeDB for HPC database and a Pavilion Hyperparallel Flash Array (HFA).
STAC-M3 is the set of industry standard benchmarks for enterprise tick-analytics. Specified by financial institutions in the STAC Benchmark Council, STAC-M3 assesses database solutions that manage large time series of market data (tick data). Pavilion used the baseline (Antuco) suite of STAC-M3 for these tests.
The Pavilion HFA 2.2.1 contained a mix of SSDs that provided a total of ~100TB of usable space with RAID-6. The eXtremeDB for HPC 8.0 DBMS was distributed across 6 dual-socket servers that accessed the HFA via RoCE v2 over 100G Ethernet.
