STAC Reports: STAC-A2 with Intel Xeon and Intel Xeon Phi
First STAC-A2 results on 2-socket and 4-socket Intel Xeon (Sandy Bridge) systems and Intel Xeon Phi system.
27 June 2013 - New York
STAC recently tested three systems using STAC-A2, a compute-intensive analytic workload:
Each of these used the same STAC-A2 Pack for Intel Composer XE developed by Intel. The first two SUTs used the Intel® C++ Compiler XE 13.1 and Intel® Math Kernel Library 11.0. The Intel Xeon Phi card SUT used a newer release of the Intel® C++ Compiler XE 14.0 and Intel® Math Kernel Library 11.1. All three SUTs used Intel OpenMP 5.0.
A subscriber from a firm with a premium membership in the STAC Benchmark Council should be permissioned automatically to the STAC Configuration Disclosure documents in the STAC Vault (make sure you are logged in). Those documents are available here for the 2-socket Xeon server, here for the 4-socket Xeon server and here for the Xeon Phi system.
If you get an access-denied message and believe you are entitled to these documents, or if you'd like to ask about premium subscription options for your firm, please contact us.
An Observer Member firm that has not already received a complimentary report may request one of these documents:
- an Intel white box with 2 x Intel Xeon (Sandy Bridge) E5-2690 CPUs (SUT ID 130607a)
- an Intel white box with 4 x Intel Xeon (Sandy Bridge) E5-4650 CPUs (SUT ID 130607b)
- an Intel Xeon Phi SE10P co-processor card (SUT ID 130619).
