STAC Report: STAC-N1 with Chelsio 10GbE with WireDirect TOE & UDP

Mean latency for message rates from 100K to 1.4M msgs/sec did not exceed 3.2 microseconds, and 99.9th percentile latency did not exceed 8 microseconds.

27 September 2013 - New York

STAC recently tested Chelsio's T520-LL-CR 10GbE network adapters and their WireDirect TOE and WireDirect UDP kernel bypass technology using STAC-N1, a network I/O workload with market data message patterns. The platform consisted of Supermicro servers running RHEL 6.4. Access the reports here:

A STAC Configuration Disclosure for this system, along with the ultra-detailed RHEL sosreport, are available to qualified members, as are many other network-stack performance studies (RDMA, kernel and kernel bypass with sockets, different versions of Linux, etc.) plus the tools used to perform the STAC-N1 Benchmarks. For more information on these materials, see the STAC Network I/O Special Interest Group site.
