Olivier Baetz, COO, NovaSparks.
Olivier joined NovaSparks in April 2011, bringing over ten years of experience selling and implementing low latency technology solutions for the financial industry. In 2000, Olivier was part of the original team at Radianz, the first global Extranet for the financial industry. At Radianz, Olivier successfully designed the solution for the original “proof of concept” customer which established the value of the Radianz community model. He also ran the North American Sales Engineering team for five years and was instrumental in the creation of the Radianz ULTRA service which provides ultra-low latency exchange con-nectivity to high-frequency trading firms. In 2009 and 2010, Olivier built and led the global technical convergence project team to integrate the Radianz platform into the global BT Network. Olivier started his career in telecoms, designing and selling managed network solutions for large multinational firms. Olivier holds a MS in Telecom Engineering from ENST Paris and an MBA from Wharton with a major in Finance. When he is not working, Olivier enjoys sailing, surfing, skiing and all good wines from around the world.

Laurent de Barry, Founder & Managing Director, Enyx.
Laurent has worked in Ultra Low Latency Technology for close to 10 years and co-founded Enyx in 2011 at the age of 23. As Managing Director of Enyx’s trading solutions, Laurent leads the development and commercialization of the next generation FPGA-enabled market access technology. A hardware engineer by training, Laurent is passionate about high performance computing and bringing cutting-edge technology to market. Prior to co-founding Enyx, he worked on critical hardware components for the aeronautical and military industries.

Bret Kean - Cloud Solutions Architect, Technology Strategist, Chief Architect, DMW Group London
Bret has held leading roles in global technology organisations during pivotal phases of innovation and development including Microsoft, Cisco, Vodafone and IBM in Financial Services and other sectors. His experience encompasses public cloud compute platform strategy and adoption to Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure covering HPC architectures, global data centre consolidation and migration and digital transformation strategy, distributed market data, global eCommerce, network design/deployment, data centre virtualisation, private and public cloud and R&D projects ensuring that Bret has remained close to technology innovation and development.

Peter Lankford, Founder & Director, Securities Technology Analysis Center.
Peter leads STAC®, which provides hands-on technology research and testing tools to the finance industry and facilitates the STAC Benchmark Council™, a group of leading financial institutions and vendors that engages in technical dialog and specifies standard ways to assess technologies used in finance. Prior to STAC, Peter was SVP of the $240M market data technology business at Reuters. Prior to Reuters, Peter held management positions at Citibank, First Chicago Corp., and operating-system maker IGC. Peter has an MBA, Masters in International Relations, and Bachelors in Chemistry from the University of Chicago.

Andrew Matthews, Head of Equities Architecture, HSBC.
Andrew is the Equities Architect within Global Banking and Markets Technology at HSBC. Andrew works across Equities to define and drive the technology strategy and future state architecture. Andrew has a background in electronic trading and derivatives having worked in front office technology roles across equities, fixed income and commodities for almost 20 years.

Dr Gareth Morris, Chief Hardware Architect, Liquid Capital Markets
Dr Gareth Morris graduated from Imperial College in 2006 after concluding his research into high performance arithmetic on FPGAs. As a Senior Engineer at Celoxica he patented and rolled out low latency FPGA products to many well known financial institutions. Then as NovaSparks Technology Director he guided product roadmap as well as moved forward several key FPGA solutions for finance within the company. He is now Chief Hardware Architect at Liquid Capital Markets.

Rich Radley, Lead, Customer Engineering, Google Cloud
Richard leads Google Cloud Customer Engineering for the UK & Ireland based in London. Richard and his team advise executives at Google's most strategic customers on how to use Google's technology to transform their businesses. Richard has worked with several Global and European financial institutions spanning Investment and Retail banking, Insurance and Payments Providers and Fintech start-ups. Richard joined Google in early 2017; prior to that, Richard worked in Management Consulting advising clients across sectors on technology outsourcing, cloud adoption and technology investment.

Oleg Rasskazov, Executive Director of QR Analytics, JP Morgan Chase.
Oleg Rasskazov is an executive director of QR Analytics at JP Morgan Chase. Oleg has spent 10 years in quantitative research at JP Morgan, working on high-performance compute for equities, commodities, and foreign exchange. Oleg has a Ph.D. in applied math focusing in computer-assisted proofs.

Robert Saxby, Big Data Product Specialist, EMEA, Google
Robert is a Big Data Product Specialist on Google Cloud focusing on data engineering, big data and machine learning in the cloud. Aside from technology Robert is an avid reader of Beat Generation literature.

Dr David Snowdon, CTO, Metamako.
David is a Founder and co-CTO at Metamako, with his core role comprising product and technology strategy at the company. His role liasing with customers about their needs gives him a unique view into the challenges faced by such firms. Prior to founding Metamako, David gained a wealth of experience working in and for HFT firms, optimising their network structures, network performance, and building performance hardware, gateware and software. He has a PhD in Operating Systems, looking at and taking advantage of the effect of frequency scaling on power and energy usage. Energy efficiency has long been an interest, with ten years spent designing, building and racing high performance solar powered cars in international events. David’s team formerly held the Guiness record for the world’s fastest solar powered vehicle.
